Need a little help and I have been unable to locate the info using the search process. I have a 9" Ford rear housing that has the small bearing 2 13/16" OD and 1.375 ID. The brake shoe backing plate has a 3 3/8" wide by 2" tall mounting flange and uses a 3/8" bolt. I was originally told it was a Torino housing, but based on the small bearing size it cannot be. I have been chasing around trying to get the right axle seals and have had no luck, either the ones I get are to small or too big. It looks like the seal fits in a hole about 2.250 OD and an axle shaft of 1 11/32 approximately. Seems to be about 5/16 to 7/16" deep. Does anybody know an axle seal number that will work? If I knew what it was out of I could use a store, but as we all know, the first question is what type of car do you have? That is just not going to get me my answer. Anybody got any ideas?

Ford Torino axle housings are stepped down on the ends and are small axle bearing. There should be 2 different seals, one for 31 spline and one for 28 spline axles.

36-3W, thanks, that looks like the correct one. I was looking at the wrong year rear ends, much appreciated.
