Does anyone know the correct WMS TO WMS front drum to drum wheel mount on a 40 ford did searh on hamb but only came up with the rear thanks

 

I would bet the front is the same as the rear.

 

I might take you up on that bet that its not .

 

GOOD NEWS: I just found the notes I made in 1999 before I installed my Magnum axle. I made a few measurements and found the following:
My stock OEM 1940 Ford coupe front axle WMS to WMS distance with stock Ford drums was 57 inches.
Hope others can measure the distance and post it.

In addition:
Here's a thread on Fordbarn that gives the 1940 Ford track width. If you know the offset and wheel back spacing I bet you can calculate the WMS to WMS.
