Ok all i'm trying this Buick hub conversion thing.I'm not only using the backing plates but also the drums and hubs on 42-48 ford spindles.Trouble is i can accross the drums and backing plates and hubs by accident and dont know if i have all the bearings and stuff so i need a diagram from a manual to check it out. Then and only then can i do the tech on it.Please all can you help out. These Brakes will be awesome on a little hotrod if it all works out. Will keep you all posted on the outcome..............Marq

Not of a Buick...but here's an early 50s chevy, which uses ball bearings like the early Buicks, maybe that would help? there will probably be some differences in the deflectors, but the bearings should work the same.

That looks to be about right but i'm still wondering if i'm missing anything.I have a big bearing and seal at the rear and a small bearing and cone at the front i'm just wondering if the big bearing ****s up against something.............Marq

The inner race of the big bearing ****s up against the larger diameter shoulder of the spindle, which also happens to be the shoulder that the seal rides on.

yup now thats what i thought and it ****s.There seems to be a gap between the seal and the inner part of the race, thats why i thought there was something missing.Gotta say it don't look strong enough to hold all that car even though i know it is..............Marq
