A recent flathead purchase worked in my favor! After doing some research here I found out that my flathead is one of the "99" blocks, now did they come factory with hollow lifters? It also has a Lincoln Zepher carb. Is this common or did I just luck out?

My '42 "99" did not come with adjustable lifters. I won't go so far as to say they definitely didn't but I've never seen or heard of it.

Stock lifters are hollow, non-adjustable...see Ryan's "Tap thread for a bit of tech!
I cannot see much in the pics, but I do not see the adjusting nuts...they look like stock lifters from here. Carb is a transplant. There are a BUNCH of lincoln carbs. Is there a model # on left side of bowl??

Yeah there is 91-99 on the side, do the zepher carbs have any better performance characteristics than the stromberg 97s I already rebuilt?
