He's been having a ball with it. My sister caught up with him at the Sonic drive-in over the weekend. The car has been buffed out and I think the paint looks pretty darn good. There are some big chips and peeled paint on the headlight doors so those may get repainted.
Glad to hear he's enjoying it. As for the paint, I agree that it should not be redone. Maybe just agree with him and let him wait 20+ years to get motivated on that too!
Damn nice looking car and excellent story. The best part is his son got it back on the road for him as the surprise and he is out enjoying the heck out of it. Thanks for sharing!
