Greetings from Maryland. An old guy here finally getting a chance to build something, and it's a '48 De Soto - "Frankie". Well, trying to build it anyway. It's a RUST bucket beyond belief. Maybe I should look at a car first before buying it. And yes, it would be nice to have an old HEMI of some kind sitting in the garage. But, all I have right now is a broken down '54 - 322 Nailhead and a '64 T400. Is this sacrilegious of me? Anyway, it's such a rust bucket I may never get it together...but I love it just the same. OK, I love just about all old iron between '48 & '50, that's why I also drive a musty, dusty, stock '50 Buick 4 Dr fastback with scary brakes, no belts, three on the column and a case of oil in the trunk for short trips! Love this car too!

Welcome from OKC, Keep on working and one day, who knows? You might actually get to drive around. My wife shows off pictures of our grandkids, I show off pictures of my projects..........maybe one of my grandkids will finish up my pickup and get to drive it.

Welcome. We're getting a nice little contingent of folks from Maryland here on the HAMB. Good luck with the project. What part of the state do you call home?

If there is a hole in the gas tank, it was the easiest way to get to the gas.
