A, B, F, G bodies, WHICH IS WHICH

    I know im an idiot, what what cars fit into these numbered categories, and is there a reason for the letter? Any help is appreciated.....................Briggs

    A Bodies: Chevelles, Pre '78 Cutlasses, Skylarks, Tempest/LeMans
    B Bodies: The BIG GM cars
    F Bodies: Firebirds and Camaros
    G-Bodies: Cutlasses ('78+), Regals, Monte Carlos, whatever the pontiac was called then

    The '68 and later Nova and its clones (Olds Omega, Buick Skylark and Pontiac Ventura) are X-bodies. [​IMG]

    Not sure about the '62 -'67 Nova. [​IMG]

    One mistake...Nova = Nova Omega Ventura Apollo (Apollo is the buick, Skylark was the A-body chevelle "clone."

    E...Cuda, Challenger
    F...Volare

    Greezy 51, i thought E bodies were Newyorkers and 300's and the like?

    C bodies are definitely big, Furies post 64, Monacos, Polaras, 300s newports ect. G bodies are Die-nasties I think.

    B = 330, 440, dart in 1962, savoy, belvedere, fury till 65, polara till 65, satellite, road runner, super bee, charger, coronet
    c = polara and fury after '64, chrysler after '64, monaco, new yorker
    e = cuda, challenger, bacaruda after '70
    f = volare, aspen
    d = dynasty, and all the other 80s rear wheel drive*****
    k = self expanatory
