I went to buy a barn full of early 80's video games and this was in the shed. I was told it was there when the couple bought the farm 30 years ago. 1951 Kaiser two door with NO rust!...and no ***le O.K., it's not exactly a vintage race car or 32 roadster, but it is just so cool to find a local car with no rust up to the first foot of the bottom. The thing could actually make a pretty cool custom. The little ding next to the headlight is the only spot on the body that is not straight that I can see in the tight quarters it is stored in. I have no real interest in owning a Kaiser, but I have to buy it! I'll clean it up and move it along.
Larry, Great find! Kind of an oddball, but it has good lines to it. Looks like it's in nice shape too. Congrats! Al
Video games = bread & ****er for me...it's half a living! The car is a two door. I am going to buy it. It will be fun to clean up a NICE car for a change. Also interesting to see if it will run.
Man - a two door AND rust free?!?! That is CUSTOM GOLD waiting to happen right there. At least you're dragging it out for someone else to jiz over and make something cool out of. You could probably afford a lot more video games!
If memory serves... I read an article in Old Cars & Parts some years ago & I believe they said that 2dr Kaisers were fairly rare. Great score!!!
That would make a sweet kustom. The first thing it would need is a chop IMO. The roof line always looks funny on those kaisers to me. Not to get OT but does anyone have pics of any chopped. I can't recall seeing any done before.
Would be neet to see it all cleaned up. Amazing to see it didn't get all banged up from being stored all that time. later shawn
cool find... i wish i had some luck finding a hidden treasure. with all the money in gas i spend driving around looking for one, i could of probably bought a finished car by now!
Neat find.I literally have dreams about finding a barn car .My day will come i hope .I like the Kaiser and it looks real solid...
Nice find man. I had one of those speedo's I sold on ebay awhile back...got it at a garage sale or something...I forget. Didn't some of those come with those wierdo Bamboo dashboards?
http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=229722 Chopped and converted to two door. I've got a 54 two door and they said they made like 180 of them. In 1955 they made 44 more. Not sure about the previous years but they all seem pretty rare. Coooooool car!
This car was in the Reader Rides/Hot Rod mag. It's pretty damn cool. Please excuse the cheesy scan job.
Heck...if anything else you could sell the smiley face whoopi cushion and get some of your money back. That's gotta be a rare find of its own!! pppppfffffaaaaaaatttt!
