well sometime ago a bought a beat down roadster with a little local history. here http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=446024 and here http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=453191 well a few directions have changed and Im doing a highboy banger. the ch***is under the first car was completley hacked. I searched for a while for a new chasis and all the good ch***is were out of my range distance and dollars. I was lucky enough to find one local to me hiding. I brought it home today. let the fun begin. juice brake conv., banger updating and alot of sheet metal work. only issue with this ch***is is it is missing one frame horn. wish me the best
Awsome, i saw a nice ch***is for sale down here recently for $600.00 kiwi. thought about getting it for mine, but i think i can clean mine up easy enough. Bangers rock!
there was no cleaning mine up......... torch cuts, rot. paralell leaves in the rear and clotheshanger welds.
Yea I pulled the plugs poured in some mmo and spun er over with the hand crank for a bit. Pretty smooth. Trans shifts a bit ruff though. Has nothing to do with it sitting for 40 years huh?
I was at a farm a few months back and there were a couple of A frames behind the barn. The new owner of this farm was wanting to get rid of these parts that were left behind.
