Just got home. Had a great time and saw some awesome cars. Thanks guys for putting on one of the best shows anywhere. Met some new HAMBrs and talked to a lot of old friends. Watched Ray (safariknut) do his thing with the striping brush. He did some lines on Fuelpump's NEW '50 Ford 2dr. and a bunch of others. It's always a treat to watch him work.

Yah ..I like to say a good time was had and well worth the trip...From AV8minor from Ireland and fatchuk from St.Marys Ont... Glad to finally meet Fathack and donzie...UnklIan,Safariknut,Denise, many times now always an upper energy booster..some very kool and different interesting things going on in many rides..I gotta tell yah though..many of them kars would never get on the road in Canada...you guys are pretty lucky to have so much freedom in what you can drive down the road licienced and insured ....you wouldn't get 10 blocks in a town in Canada ..much of our freedom in traditional to rat is very, very limited and legislated by traditional conservative law....kind of ironic....pretty neat kool fun stuff was there to-day...thanks to all who participated..fatchuk

Very cool show, had a lot of fun, got to catch up with a ton of HAMBers and saw as many cool cars in one spot as you would see in a whole weekend at any big event.

Of course only made it about 2 miles away before I got pulled over by an officer concerned about my safety when he saw the slicks. Saw that he was going to let me go, so I didn't even bother trying to explain that they said DOT legal and that the grooves make them legal. Got cought in the rain on the way home too, but amazingly slicks drove fine.

Big thanks to everyone involved in setting up the event.

Yep, better than last year, and I didn't think that was possible.
It was great to meet some new people and chat with old friends.
The Deadbeats are master hosts. nd if anyone went home hungry it's their own damn fault!
My only disappointment was Denise didn't bring any cookies. [IMG]
But she had a good reason so I'll let her off the hook. [IMG]
I'll post some pics later....but on a side note.
If anyone found 2 abandoned canvas folding chairs please help them find their way home. They're blue with red stripes across the top. They were left in front of the Mexi restaurant near the fire plug. Perhaps we could have a HAMB relay to get 'em back to Midland. [IMG]
If anyone knows the whereabouts of said chairs please let me know.....Oh, and NO, there's no reward!!

Group shot that was taken with just a fraction of the HAMB folks in attendance

It was wonderful to see and catch up with so many old friends today and to meet so many new ones. I thought I saw and chatted with everyone but looks like I missed MercMan, sorry bud. We'll have to catch up at RocketJ2's stripping and striping party next month.

The Broken Dreams Cruz was awesome. Perfect weather, great folks, cool hot rods and smokey burn outs! Our very own Hammer Hank (winner of the Billetproof-Detroit burnout contest in June) roasted his tires once again. Donuts on Woodward, never seen that before today.

Next we have Murray on his chopper moped giving it a go [IMG] For those that aren't fimiliar with Woodward Ave, it's a major road with 4 lanes north bound and 4 lanes south bound with a grassy median in the middle. A very busy highway, with the middle of the street activities being done between red lites.

"Can I see you license, registration and proof of insurance son"

"Sarge, send back up quick, we've got a hoodlum on a moped doing donuts on Woodward!"

Hey Murray, how many cop cars can you count? Your gonna need both hands. [IMG]

Here's mine, we stopped in for a look-see, out and about running errands...I was glad to meet a few fellow HAMBers and finally put a face to the screen-names. Next year, I'll come in the MERC, I promise! Sorry I didn't catch you on the way out Fat Hack or DoubleClutch...

Denise, I looked for you high and low, but somehow missed ya... And ROCKETJ2, WHERE WERE YOU?!?!?!?
