I'm sorry for the non traditional post but I have a pretty serious problem. My 2000 Dodge Ram V-10 work truck has a cracked head. Under light pressure in the radiator it is pushing coolant through a small hole or crack between rocker arms. Is there a fix that can be done or am I forced to buy a $1000+ cylinder head. I do not want to get rid of the truck. It has 118,000 miles.
The way I found this was the truck instantly went from running smooth to very rough. We pulled the valve cover off and found a rocker arm and a push rod just chilling out! The bolt that holds the rocker arm broke. We got the bolt out easily then we found the crack. This could end up as a very costly repair.
Any help or suggestions would so greatly appreciated.
    Thank you,

honest opinion.... find a wreck and buy a complete motor. My uncle rebuilt a v10 with a viper cam and intake to put into a 1/2 ton and ended up spending major coin. sounds like the crack went from a water jacket to the bolt hole. the other thing to consider, what was the cause? did the rocker suddenly bind up etc. how long will the other head last? hate to be all doomsday but thats my .02

Thanks man. I appreciate the reply. I will look into a totaled truck. We'll see.
    Thanks,
