Made in the USA I have a good friend who is just like your neighbor. You can't reason with a narrow mind .
I try to buy U.S made stuff as well as shop at the smaller stores. It isn't always possible though. Glad to see you making the change. Don't you just love the conspiracy nuts.... They are sooooo much fun to mess with.
Bravo Ryan! I go out of my way to buy American when I can, but that seems to be harder by the day. I hope this isn't perceived as political, but I swiped it off the Tosh.O blog and had to post it somewhere.... Click on it and look close!
Born, raised, and still living in what WAS a "cotton mill town", and having spent years working in 2 of the 3 auto assembly plants that ONCE, no more, were within commuting distance, I applaud your decision Ryan. Agree also that we shouldn't get into politics here, there's plenty of other sites for that. But we all should be aware of politics and all vote. Our livelihoods and the right to choose our way of life and hobbies are in constant threat of govermental interference. Dave
Sounds like a great idea, Im surprised you can still find T-shirts made in the USA. I have not seen one lately.
Ryan, thanks. I've been buying (USA) Petersen Dewitt Vice Grips online instead of the now Chinese Irwin Vice Grips. I think every little bit helps.
I was one of the guys not liking the red shirts when they came out and let you know. You were fair about it and are being up front now. Thanks
Good on ya Ryan! I'm not a political crazy man either, but I am a proud American citizen and have been a staunch supporter of buying "Made in USA" products for years. I have always been saddened that our great nation no longer has the industry that it once had....so I do my part to "Buy American" as much as possible...from my tools to the new hair clippers I just bought. You can be assured I will certainly be restocking my Jalopy Journal and H.A.M.B swag very soon now. Clayton
Ryan, Totally behind you on this! Now I feel even more guilty for not buying any HAMB stuff. Ok, I'll get out my wallet. Mike
Great move, the game is lost however, as we (Americans) sold out a long time ago to the lure of cheep products.
The blog "a continuous lean" has an American list. There are some good companies listed that make high quality made in USA stuff. It has no politics like most made in USA sites do.
Ryan, Congrats on taking the store in this direction and for the passion you have for this endeavor (not just the store)! If you make out this direction, I'll buy you a drink. Jeff
I didn't see anyone mention this web site which is dedicated to Made In USA stuff. Through it I found out that you can actually get hat pins that are made in the USA (and was surprised to find out that the company was right here in Massachusetts.) http://madeinusaforever.com/ Happy Truckin' Dennis (of O'Brien Truckers that makes it's stuff here in Massachusetts)
Prison Blues: Our tax dollars finally put to good use http://oce.oregon.gov/products/112 Glad to be part of the hamb; A place that stands for something and doesn't fall for just the next big thing.
Damn, I remember when Wally World was all about USA made, boy have things changed. I commend you for fighting for what you believe in. I'm all for it, but still going to shop at Wally World.
Now if we can just get Speedway on board.... hmm. I didn't really plan it, but my stickers are all made in the U.S.A. I designed here (in my back room in Florida), and printed in Vegas or North Carolina... I did it by accident, so it can't be that hard to do. Couldn't tell you were they get the vinyl and ink from... I'll ask.
Made in the USA, yes, made in America, not necessarily! There's a strong possibility you'll have to move to find much of anything "made in the USA"! Just sayin'.
