Paucho didnt lead me down the garden path, the little ribs will work fine with a little tweeking and chopping to fit the chopped windshield.

Hi Lono. I read the whole thread. Jeez...I thought we had some drama here, but holy cow!...and they're even chasing after you to the HAMB to give you shit! Hahahahaha! You don't know me, and I don't know you, except from this bit here. I don't know if it matters to you, but I'm rooting for you...and your buddy, for that matter. Gee, you're set to go now! I'm 52 yrs. old, and I've dreamed of building a roadster since I was a kid. And I don't mean since I was a teen...I mean like 8 yrs. old. I've finally got a '29 body, and a '32 frame, and some other parts, and look forward to fullfilling my dream. I won't begin to tell you what I went through to aquire just the body. It's a whole "jabbed me up the ying-yang" scenario. My point is, whatever it takes, pal...short of being dishonest. Some of these guys think their opinions matter...they don't. Simple as that. Don't give 'em a second thought. It's your life...it's your car. It's obvious you've got the passion, and your buddy knows that. These cars aren't sacred, and they aint no Mona Lisa. There's no good reason for saying you should be shot, pissed on, or any other foul-mouthed spew. They've all got fecal-matter stuck to their lips from talking shit. So forget it, and go man go. Someday in the future, when you and I are gone, your and my car will be taken apart for other projects too...and we won't care. Enjoy the build. Make it your own. Enjoy the ride. You only live once, and it's nice to have friends along the way, aint it? Good luck with everything, including that new shop. - Rick

It's been a long wait to finally get the frame and goodies into my new shop. The single bay was already filled with a 39 Plymouth and the 28 Roadie was taking up my parking spot so nothing was going on.

January 3rd I moved all the cars over and had a little opening party on the 4th.

Along the way I bought a 54 flathead out of a Crestliner *(before anyone says they didnt makea 54 flatty, for the record, its a Canadian built car and yes it truely is a 54 flathead).

With a quick exchange of bellhousing and clutch the motor and 39 tranny dropped in.

The frame already had motor mounts brackets in place and rather than change out the water pumps ( working just fine thank you muchly) from late model car to truck, I banged out some new mounts. ( a little clean up is in order, should have done it before I snapped the picture)

Now, I'm gathering all the body parts together and C clamping it all together before getting it all together. A little photo op last night...

On May 22nd The Reapers Car Club is getting together. Gotta have it on the road by then, it would suck to have to ride the short bus to the event.

Fred - the roadster is looking great! What tires are you running on it? I've got to start looking for a set for my 33 coupe.

Cool story and even cooler build. Now all it needs is a set of Moon discs............ ya know, to keep alive some more of the history.

I spoke to the original owners close friend Gary.
Gary told me he could remember the car with 46 caps and rings. The moons were added by the second to last owner as were the pinstripes.

    Thanks guys!
Getting pretty charged... I want to have it on the road for May Day and all the bugs out of it. Still lots to do in that time.

I had Kelly from www.Kellyskustoms.ca come out and lay some stripes for me. Nice work. I love it.

I told him I wanted out school, to match the vintage stipes on the headlights and shut my mouth and watched...this is what he dun...

    At last!
I love it. Been tooting around the property getting to know the girl before I hit the road next week.

I want to thank everyone who sent PMs to me about the car and build. It's a gas to drive and I'm looking forward to hitting the pavement soon.
