Same O' Same O', every Summer. When I'm ready for the A/C, it ain't ready for me.
My idea this time is to purge the system, and replace all the O rings to see if that stops the leak. My question, can I recharge/refill my unit with the A/C Pro "stuff" now available in most parts stores? Anyone here ever use it? Is it OK? Any down side?

You have to evacuate with a vacuum pump down to 500 microns first .

How old is your system? Will it run on 134a? You can convert the older systems, but I am not an expert. Check around & see.

A minimum of 500 microns, preferably more. A micron gauge is just a more accurate vacuum gauge. If you have a "traditional" set of gauges, then you want to pull a vacuum of 29 or greater inches of mercury (inHG)

Evacuate and pump down the system. Recharge with oil and freon and use a "sniffer" to locate the leak.

I do have a picture, but I'm kinda computer challenged. But I'll try. If I'm able, where should I send it?

Evacuate the system, charge it with nitrogen, and find the leak. Dish soap and water in a spray bottle has been more effective for me than sniffers, cheaper too. Then vacuum it down again and charge with 134A.
