Alright fellas, here it is. My first new thread on the HAMB. Other than the intro I did way back when, this is #1. The first thing to celebrate is I officially a newbie now instead of a FNG (same shit I guess) and although it might not seem like much to some, there were some days I thought I'd never get here. The second thing is I finally picked up a project worthy of the HAMB, so expect some dumb questions from me in the near future. Of course I'll use the search options first, probably, but I will still have a few to ask as I work it all out. So let's get with the pics right? All I know is that it's a 28/29 Model A Tudor. Got the body and frame. Looks to be an A front axle with discs on it (I'll have to do some more research to figure out what discs) and a Ford 8 inch out back. Looks like the front half of the frame is still A, but I'll post some more as I get it started to get a better idea of what I have. As far as power plants I have a line on an early chrysler hemi, a 331, non-extended bell housing that will finish 'er off someday. I am actually thinking about something in the meantime however, maybe a 4 banger to cruise it 'til the hemi get's done. That's all down the road a bit though. I gotta figure out the fram and suspension first anyway, just stuff to think about I guess. Anyway, I am so stoked I can't stand it, but enough ramblin' for now. Let me know what ya'll think. That's all for now
Congrats. I didn't know you were triplets.... Kidding aside, stay motivated, and go with the Hemi. Spark plugs where God intended them to be.
LOL, sorry dudes. That's what I get for tryin' to be all slick and just post pics in the post. Here is one attached and I've gotta make the others smaller first. I'll get er done in a minute.
Al;right, here are the other two I had posted earlier to no avail. Sorry fellas, I'll get better with time. I not sure who the mustang guy was, but mot quite an A, LOL.
I know that Hemi will be costly to build, but it's a real pain (and kinda waste of money) to setup the frame, crossmembers, firewall, steering location, etc with one engine/trans and then come back and modify it for another. I'd reccomend saving up your bucks, and do the Hemi from the start. It might take you longe to get on the road, but in the long run I think you'll be happier. Just my 2c. Good luck on whatever you do!
