I have searched high and low on the sight and can't seem to get a clear picture....I know an A engine number started with A....My Engine starts with AA...Does that mean it's a AA truck motor????

Any help??? Links to threads are fine....Thanks....

Yes, but it would be the same as an "A" engine mechanically speaking. Just has an AA Vin number on it.

Yep, "AA" and "A" serial numbered engines were identical.

The "AA" COULD mean a different transmission was attached; intended for trucks, - over 1/2 ton - when shipped from the Rouge engine plant.

Somewhere in 1930, Ford dropped the first "A", and from there on both the cars and trucks, all used engines with the serial number starting with one "A."
