I made my first trip to the LSRU this past week. Drove my Y block powered 30 coupe over 2000 miles from Knoxville to Austin and back along with some great traveling companions in a variety of rides. Mike Barillaro drove his 56 F 100, Mike Whitney drove his well traveled deuce roadster, and Glen Costadina in his 440 powered 66 Chrysler. Perfect weather going down and coming back made for an awesome road trip and a fantastic event that should be on every hot rodders bucket list!. Here are a few pictures from the road and some of my favorites seen at the Round Up.
Looks like fun, thanks for sharing the pics. Glad you guys had a good time. I really want to go again...maybe next year!!
Mike's chopped 56 has a killer stance. Very clean! Hope the new one I'm building has the same eye ball effect. Having owned several 53-6 F-100's I can totally relate to the Blue straps.
Great pics! What a trip! An uneventful 2000 miles speaks well of the Barillaros' building expertise. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for posting. The past couple of years I have planned on attending and something has come up and I've had to cancel. Oh well, there is always next year!
Thank you for taking the time to post all the great photo's, looks like you had a enjoyable road trip. HRP
