Spent some time after work sanding and prepping the body, it flashed and looked like shit. Im going to just give it a quick spray and worry about the body work this winter.

Ill post a pic of the progress very soon.

PM J.B. here on Hamb. He bought a '47 LaSalle from a guy in my neck of the woods. I went to go look at the car for him and while there that guy had Edmunds heads (i believe that the mfg) and shit for Cad Flatheads. Lots of stuff. Ask him for that guy's number.

I'm on the hunt for a pair early heads, the ones that say Cadillac across them.
I painted the dash, looks like shit with fish eyes and dirt. Assembled the gauges. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1377556559.175997.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1377556585.411016.jpg

  17. Damn, this looks better every time I look at this thread.

Is this going to be on the road for Ty-Rods? I'm hoping so!

I Took the roadster for its first real drive tonight, she's got a wicked death wobble. In the past I would have just put a steering damper on it but I'm not sure it'll look right, any suggestion? ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1377732344.188081.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1377732378.091651.jpg

Pete, put up a pic of the side steer setup and draglink, also a pic to see where the caster is at right now.

And, what is the tie rod made of? Does it flex if two guys manhandle both front wheels in opposite directions?

i bet the death wobble will be eliminated by only driving it on a sandy beach in new jersey.

I had to rotate a tire 180 degrees and re-balance to make my wobble go away.

Yep- I had to take my front tires in and get ROAD FORCE BALANCED at an old tire shop in Salina Kansas.
