Hey HAMBers heres a few shot of the show in IL, over 600 cars and flavors for all.. I only shot a few before the camera ran out... On the way
Well, I made it home OK. I may have some pics too. I don't think I took too many because I was too busy knawing on sweet corn. A good weekend overall. I think I put 600 miles or so on the truck. You guys will have to let me know when some other stuff is going on so I can come up again.
Hey Mark, Nope that was kinda by RT 64 and tollway 355.. It's south for me but smack dab in the middle of Andy and my house??? So were was your ***?? Folks were nice and so were the rods, nummnuts was walking around in his drawers and when he won a trophy and anounced Nummnut over the P.A. system " priceless" the crowd laught there *** off.... Some cool shots Plowboy, your truck rocks.. Thanks for coming all that way to the show ...
Plowboy, it looks like traffic was clear compared to 4pm when we came back through! I see a lot of cars from the Indy show in your shots. We had a detour to make in Gary
Actually I thought I was the only car from Indy that went to the Chicago show on Saturday. That Model A with the Green interior formerly belonged to a former Road Rocket, Dave Martinez. He did the interior himself. At least I think he sold it. Nummnut was kind enough to put Romance and I up for the night on Saturday. I forgot my speedo, but Bill was nice enough to loan me one of his. Announcement....I am starting my own car show.... Queers and Beers! We will have a parade and everything. I am still waiting for Rob Halford to return my phone call.
It was nice to see al of you guys there. It was a good show. Drew and I took some power parking lessons while we were there. That will come in handy. Here is a pic of our very own Plowboy explaining to the NSRA safety inspector that "The horn doesn't blow, but the driver does..."
[ QUOTE ] Hey Django, here's a shot of the new ride, he did a great job on her.. Love the scallops... [/ QUOTE ] Nice pics.Anymore pics or info onthe sweet scalloped chevy sled?
I also won this nice hand made trophy for the best flathead. Its nice to get an award that someone put some time into rather than a $3 plastic trophy. All of the awards at Gears and Ears are made by a different person in the MSRA and the person that made the award gets to choose which car gets it.
Hey stone, my camera went dead after twenty shots or so.. I thought I had a front shot of her.. I'll check.. It's a cool show, all the members choose and make the awards, then when everybody starts going home they all line up and thank you for attending and say good bye.. That's what it's about!!
I'm going to have to try to make this one again next year. Josh, remember, we got kicked out of our power parking spots, they were reserved for the 77 Caddy. We were in the best location though, right by the sweet corn! My "technique" must have been good, I p***ed the inspection! Good thing Justin was standing there to give me some pointers.
