Remember when no one wanted your opinion. Now is not that time. Myself and some other old geezers are trying to revive a successful 60's era car club. You remember the kind I'm talkin' about. Cool Cars. Crusin' with you Friends. Helpin' a Buddy with his car and him helpin' you. Makin' new Friends and doing some Good Things along the way. You know the drill. We are bringing back The Coachman Crusiers. A really cool car club in the North Central Texas Area. OK! Here's where you come in. We are looking for a car guy/artist. Someone who does good work at a fair price. Goal: Update the club logo to "now" while keeping a lot of the nostalgia. Advice: Our vision is a 60's era car club....before rat rods, low riders and cars that bounce. God bless all those guys....they have some really exceptional stuff. It's just not what we want to do. I will keep this thread going for a while. We welcome all comments....Somewhere all of us lost our "Car Culture" and we would like to find it. Wanna Help! John (mtrsouth) in Burkburnett, Texas
I have been a member of Tri-City Rod & Custom in the upstate of South Carolina,,the club has held together longer than any car club in the state but it takes dedication and trying to keep it fun,,we don't try and put on huge car shows anymore and are basically a social club meeting once a month. We don't insist on being at every meeting and try to have at least a couple of club picnics at a destination that entails driving our cars& trucks. One thing we anguished over on more than one occasion was whether to update our outdated logo,,,we ended up adding the shape of the state around the original logo. 41 years and still going beats a lot of marriages,, We have one of the original members and several that joined the next year. Clubs are not for everybody, but I think a lot of graybeards still enjoy bek longing to a club. HRP
