Your motor is lookin' good! What are the plug wires, and where did you get them? I 'd like to get some for my A pickup.

    You're my hero!

I hear ya on the shocks! Yesterday I started all the cars and I had a talk with Vera about her getting some shocks real soon :D She fired right up so she must have liked the idea!

Damn, I love that coupe. Every time I see it I could punch myself in the mouth for selling the fenders off of mine.

  9. I bought a whole roll of that wire from Antique Auto Ranch here in Spokane, and bought the metal ends and boots from Car Quest.

Antique auto ranch is still in business???? Used to by alot from them. Is it stilled owned by a woman. I can't remember her name but they had good prices & prompt shipping.

  12. Oh yeah. No Meridith no longer owns it, it is now owned by a guy named Tom.

  13. Yep, stock 2 tooth box

  14. Doing a great job, keep it up.

  15. Yeah, there kinnda a spendy venture to do, thats why I've been holding off. Don't know if I'll do tube or mechanical...I just gotta make up my mind and order em up :D

Meredith, that was her name. I always enjoyed dealing with her. Do they still have alot of used A parts or are they pretty much gone??

  18. Oh yeah, the ranch is huge, and they have all sorts of early Fords (as well as any other make) from the teens to the early 60's in their yard. They stock a lot of new parts as well, wich makes it nice for me, I can run over there on lunch if I need some Model A part instead of waiting for a week to come in the mail!

I hope my pickup turns out that cool.[IMG]

  20. Wow Kopperkart, I dig your pickup! I do want to someday own a stock model A pickup!

  21. Whats funny Jeffery is, when I bought the car EVERYONE I knew told me to rip the fenders off. Thats was the only reaction. Well, that or restore it to orriginal by a few old timers. Either way, this is the direction I wanted to go, and now all those guys who told me that are lookin for fenders for their cars :D

I just think it takes a shit load more of restraint for us young guys to keep the fenders and not whack the hell out of our cars, and for that my good man I commend you. I think the nicest cars are always an exercise of restraint and attention to detail.

I agree on the fenders. Just as I suspected last fall, sometimes in the middle of these cold winter nights I go out to the shop, look at Vera, get out a creeper and an air chisel and then STOP myself! I will learn to love these fenders :D (If not for myself, for JeffreyJames LOL)

Bitchin' car Chris. I love the intake, air cleaners, head- all the good stuff!

  26. Well, if you do....I call dibs on the passanger rear fender :D

  27. Well, a stupid updte, but an important one. When I first bought this car, I threw a new Bob Drake 40ish pickup tailight on the back. Being new, it stuck out like a sore thumb. Last weekend I found an orriginal A stainless tailight bucket, ring and lense. The lense is an old KD TRI-FLEX...my persoanl favorite lense. It has a diamond type design that makes it really sparkle when lit. Kinnda corny I know, but it's all about details, right? The old orriginal light needed a lot of work...probably more than it was worth, but after I got it restored and on the car, I can see it was worth the effort!

    "old" new tailight
