I've been lurking here awhile, so I figured I'd do the official intro thing and show you what I drive. I'm sure lots of people in North Texas have seen my POS in person. I drive it a lot. All the good stuff underneath, big brakes, small block, boring as hell.
My wife does upholstery, so she stitched me up a traditional tuck n roll job. A local guy named Frank Palmer striped the dash a few years ago. Stock steering column modified to hook to the rack and pinion. This car is a business coupe, so it never had a back seat.
i havn't seen your car before, at least i don't remember seeing it. looks cool though. where in north texas?
Nice 54 chevrolet. I hope mines turns out that nice. How did you lower the front? Mustang 2 or just dropped spindles????
Mustang 2 in the front. Posies springs and nova axle in rear. This car is a driver. I've put 60k miles on it in the last 4 years.
Welcome to the HAMB! Nice ride. Hey you should Dump that ole lady of youres and Ill send her a plane ticket so she can come and do the interior in My 49 Merc coupe.--FEDER
Welcome fellow Texun' I think I have seen your Chebby on the highway early in the morning west of Fort Worth ? Great lookin' ride.
That was me man. I live in Weatherford, 30 miles west of Ft Worth. FEDER- She also painted the dash, steering wheel, and the suede paint on the outside too.
I am just a wanna-be member, but nice ride!! The interior is just right. The whole car kinda looks like "it used to be." Justice
Welcome, always nice to see another Potential 53/54 owenr lets see a pic of the front of that ride... Digging the dash... you got any extra parts. I need a pair of wiper towers assemblies bad.
Thought that was the car ! In a sea of black primer and red wheels that car is the shit. Welcome again to the most complete garage I've ever stepped into. Wealth of knowledge here and a few screwballs too.
Very kool ride and wicked stich job! You and the mrs. make a great team! ....and welcome to the board.Who did the lines on the dash?
[ QUOTE ] A local guy named Frank Palmer striped the dash a few years ago. [/ QUOTE ] Are you kidding me? I would be considered a "local guy"...Frank is a Guru! sheesh. Oh yeah...welcome.
Believe me, I'm not trying to downplay Frank's work. He is without a doubt a master. But, he is local to me. Like 25 miles from my house. Sometimes, you get lucky. He striped my dash for free a couple of years ago. Lots of people drive cross country to PAY him to lay some lines on their car.
Like the car MUCHO!! I met ya at Good Guys last year or year before that, I cant remember. Taillights had me hipnotized.

Come on by this year, and we'll talk awhile. Hell, you can drive it. I had really nice cars in the past with too much money invested. It sucked because I was always worrying about them getting scratched. This car is the most fun one I've ever had. That's why I've kept it so long. It will never be sold, at least while I'm still alive. Kevin
Your old car is the f*#%in shit. I'd give one of my nuts (your choice) for that car. My car isn't worthy to drive on the same road as yours. I have several pics I took of it at a show a few years ago. I had to laminate them so I could wipe the drool off <end of gay rant>
