nice, thanks for sharing love the wheels....but then, I'm a sucker for G/T rears and slots up front, like my 62
Snow Job was Ron Rudnick's 59 Vette out of Gasport New York. Not sure if he had more than one Snow Job but eventually he ran a 59 Vette with the flip top body. I have read it was destroyed in a racing accident. The car was pretty quick for its time. In 1969 he set a record of 7.120 at 206 which was not all bad. There are a fair number of pictures of the car out there. Here are a few pictures.
Hello, For this particular Corvette build, it would probably be less expensive and easier to get a whole new chassis in the stock configuration. A factory stock if one is available, or a custom build one that would fit perfectly under the old fiberglass body. The companies that make complete rolling chassis for just about any application are good and have proper credentials. Since it has already been modified to race only, the set back in the motor is not your typical 10% legal setback allowed for stock bodied race cars. But, those classes are long gone. The current “Snow Job” has upped his game to include a radical 25% set back for the SBC motor. No way he is going to be sitting in the original factory driver seat during his time on the track. Our 10% legal set back for 0ur 671 SBC motor set up in the Willys Coupe was legal and for the C/Gas + B/Gas classes. We had to make a new firewall and move the small foreign car bucket seats back as far as the rear wall would allow us. Still, it was cramped for any long distance driving if it was a real street/strip dual purpose hot rod build. Jnaki The Corvette is definitely not a dual purpose street legal build. C/A defines it as being in the Altered Coupe/Sedan class. Lion's Dragstrip 1959 If he were to be at Lion’s Dragstrip a few years earlier before his time period, his main competition in C/A would be this cool 32 Ford Altered Coupe that had a full 25% set back. 1959 Lion's C/Altered Coupe/Sedan class https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nyHXE0t2A1w
Local Car Joey! Ron Rudnick is in our Car Club: Gasser Gang of Western N.Y. Ron tells of a story where he and the Vett took a fly over the top of the win lights at the end of the Drag strip! Of course he made it, the Vett not so much. I was just told that the Drag Strip was Empire Drag strip were that accident happened. Never Fear! Ron has several Corvettes.
