No. We have never seen abnormal wear with those parts. I can't recall the last time I changed a worn distributor gear. Timing chain, buy a good one never look back. There is too much interface pressure between the rocker and the shaft under lift conditions to not have pressure fed oil. Rocker arm wear due to poor top end oiling has always been the achillies heal of the engine. 5 minutes worth of machine work on the cam a couple set screws for the rockers problem gone never to return. Ford dropped the ball hard on this and the engine suffered because of it. But its such an easy fix.
