I didn't know this either. We could have gave him a out of town escort off the premises if you know what I mean. He was kindoff large was'nt he. I know he didn't put that front end on that car anyways.
I forgot to mention that you also got a cool old Car Craft magazine in your sign up baggy. Mine was a 1958 pretty cool. Wish the prices were the same as advertised in the book. Definately worth your admission.
[ QUOTE ] The guy that was driving that elcamino is a local guy but he's a real prick. He is a 500lb. asshole that talks down to women real bad. When he came up to the reg. booth he asked my wife how much reg. was when she said it was by donation he flipped a quater down on the table and stil here you go thats all I can afford.Eventhough he was at the local cafe eating breakfast that morning. He doesn't work and lives off of his "redneck lottery" disability check just because he's to fucking fat!.Well my wife and the other lady doing reg. didn't put up with this shit so he got pissed and said fine I just won't reg. and I'll my car parked right here. He parked that piece of shit right on the front row and sat his fat ass in the back acting pissed off all day. It's a good thing for him that I didn't find about it till later or I would have made his fat ass leave. He was the only asshole everyone else was generous and very cool. [/ QUOTE ] Man, I hate guys like that. It makes you wonder why they go out in public to meet others if they are so pissed off and anti-social. But I have seen a bunch of guys like that in the various aspects of the car hobby. I don't know why we draw them like flies. Why don't they go golf or something? LOL
[ QUOTE ] These are a kit, I shot this one at a Canton swap meet and there was actually another unfinished one tooling around. The only thing Stude is the bullit. I think I could find a better use for my time but to each his own. [/ QUOTE ] A kit huh? Cool. I kinda like the look and it sure is a lot cooler than the stock El Camino front end. But what's with these weird '70's mural' custom paint jobs? LOL
This guy can't golf he's to damn fat.He made it known to everyone standing around that he didn't have any money to help OTHER people .I'm sorry but these kids can't help their situaition but he could have helped his.I'm a fat guy too but I'm not drawing a disability check for eating to many twinkies over a lifetime. He would still be a dick if he were 125 lb.You are right about drawing these kind of people.Again this was the only guy that we had problems with so thats not too bad.All and all it was a great day.More pics. are coming tonight.

You will want to skip the GoodGuys and come to the Day of the Drags. You won't regret the decision. It's an easy choice, come to Temple, hang out with real hot rodders, drag racing, night at the Continental Club.....Come on.

[/ QUOTE ] Well it seems that my work does not understand that goodguys and the Day of the Drags are this weekend. What a bummer we have a shutdown Saturday and it looks like I will be working anywhere from 12-20 hours. Hopefully I can atleast go Friday and Sunday.
I've been busy and haven't got my pics. up but I will. By the way is the guy with the black 58 a hamber?I really wanted to tell him how cool I thought his car is but I didn't have time for anything.
Nice pictures,Joe, thanks for sharing. I havent seen the roadster before. Do you know anything about it ?
Joe, unfinished car?? You mean you actually know guys with cars that are finished? I thought they never were, unless you are Boyd.
Didn't get a chance to talk to the guy with the roadster. I had the wife with me and we were "on a schedule". I had to check out 2 shows in 2 hours. The guy lives in Calera, OK, just across the state line from Denison. Podunk town of a couple hundred people I'm guessing. One of my drivers knows him, so I can contact him for future reference if needed. The show was part of "Platter Day", right there in Platter, OK, another podunk town of who cares. All the other rides in that show were finished, some 40's and 50's trucks, muscle cars, one tall T, a chopped 70's Ford van, etc. I always seem to gravitate to the unfinished cars. Wasn't it obvious?!
Yeah that show was put on by a Kustom King too.He is on the planning comm. and they set the date for Oct. 2 then he went on vaction when he got back they had changed it to the same weekend as our show. The chopped econline is one of his cars he bought it new in 74 and it was chopped in 76!Hey Joemoto why didn't you stop by the p.a. booth and say introduce yourself?
I met David Guymon a couple of months ago, he mentioned that he was part of the Kustom Kings. He's knows my brother Shortbus, and my dad and uncle both still have their '76 customized vans, so we had a lot to talk about. I would've stopped by and met ya, but I was on a tight skedooley. Had a bunch a stuff to do that day and just blew through the show without meeting anybody. Next time, I'll hollar at you! Dirty, he wasn't running it when I was there, but you're probably right, I bet is sounds sweeeeet.
