Somehow the HAMB has alway's seemed like a close nit group of friends to me... I feel like i lost a friend in reading this.. VERY sad new's indeed. Tommy, his family and friends are all in my thought's. God Speed Tommy...... Tony
Well it is a sad day for us all.....Tommy will be in some fast company, Dyno Don p***ed away today also.. Mark
My condolences to his family and friends. It's never easy to loose anyone , but especially hard when it's one of the "good guys". God speed. Frank
Wow... even if i had words, they cant come close to how i feel right now me and mrs fiddy send our thoughts and prayers. God's got an amazing bunch of rodders doin huge smokey burnouts at the pearly gates... and one more on the way. God bless
Tommy is a long time friend of mine, and is known all over the country by many rodders. Man,Its really hard to hear this,Me and my brother Reggie[scarliner] drove my roadster down to Mexico to see him at the special get together at lake park last fall. We both got to see him and talk with him for a while,...Not long enough. He is a great person who shall be missed by many...I want to say to his family ,that they have good reason to be proud of his life and accomplishments. Goodbye, my friend.... Kenny Baker
Our prayers with the family. Ryan, Maybe you should think about creating a wall of fame for those we have lost.
Very sorry to hear this - my condolences to his family. Here's Tommy's intro post - sounds like we are loosing another of the good ones. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=14976
We lost Jerry (blue HenryJ) a couple years back. Now Tommy will get to see his pal again. God will have two HenryJs draggin it out in the clouds........ I see Denise and I had the same idea.
Godspeed Tommy. As much as I hate hearing this stuff, it sounds like he made the most out of those 16 years.
I am so sorry to hear of this...I met Tommy at the HAMB drags in '04...he and I "went a couple of rounds", I got the hole shot but Tommy "beat" me at the end...he and I had a few yuks about that since then and I'm happy to tellyou he told me my book took him back to his younger years...he was a very likable person and I wish him God Speed. R-
Well it sounds like he made a fool out of the doctors and certainly got a nice extension on life. It sounds like he made the best of it to the end. Our condolences to Tommy and his family. Maybe that thunder storm we're supposed to be getting tonight is really two Henry J's doing it one more time together. R.I.P. Dennis & Sue
I never knew Tommy, but after reading his intro, it's awfull funny that we've been in a lot of the same places and bumped into a lot of the same people. Hot Rods do that to folks I guess... Maybe he'll run into my dad in Heaven, another guy who keep involved in his hobby and got a few more years than the Doc's said he had on this Earth... Maybe he can be a better PR man for Hot Rodding than I was...my dad just couldn't see me pumping time and money into this hobby of "old rusty junk Model A's"... My heart goes out to Tommy, his family, and all of his friends... Mark aka Abonecoupe31
Did not know him, but just the thought of losing my dad or a brother makes me sick. The HAMB is amazing...the amount of knowledge is incalculable, but the amount of comp***ion and caring at a time like this impressive... RIP Tommy Adam Barton
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
