I just read the moriarty visit thread and it got me thinking. How cool
Would it be to set up a hamb tour? Maybe a road trip or a tour of the hamb shops in your state, or region. I for one would love to be a stop on the washington tour , show off my junk
And throw a barbecue when the tour stops by. Spokane has a few notable, hamb friendly stops, like the antique auto ranch, chris swensons place, i am sure there are a lot more around here, but I am a shop hermit so i am not the guy to elaborate. Just a thought.

Sounds like a great idea to me! I got spoiled about 15 years ago going on garage crawls before the Lonestar Roundup. Ever since, I have tried to check out every shop I can (especially HAMB-friendly ones).

That’s a nice idea. One way to do that is to arrange the tour to coincide with a local car show to help attract people to the area (assuming you want that). Sort of like the local shop open houses that go along with the GNRS.

You’ve already got me thinking about next year in our area.

Shit like that is so much better than a car show… A group of buddies driving their car from stop to stop… To me, that’s far more appropriate than sitting around at some fairground all day…

Well, if anyone wants to start a tour in the northwest, i will totally do a barbecue. I have a shop stocked with tools to perform whatever maintenance needed for cruisers and if we start planning it now, the weather will be perfect for it in the spring.

  9. Thats about the only place I condone sitting around a fairground! Love the shade and yet Jennie always sets up camp in the middle of a BFE parking lot! hahaha

The Joplin/Ok area guys usually have some sort of a tour set up before the HAMB drags.

I used to put them together here in OK, years ago. We did it for probably 3 years, then we ran out of folks willing to open their shops. I ended it at my shop and we had Mexican food.

That was basically the springboard for the HRH events.

I would 100% agree I love shop tours and getting out and driving. As far as touring my shop NO one wants to see it but me.

I would maybe even make the trip to hang out at Jim’s shop, it’s not that far down there.

Has to be in the summer, I can’t drive one of my old cars to Seattle in the winter! We are already thinking of going to the BC interior next summer, would be easy to pop down to Seattle

  22. Plenty of quality shops to do a Southeastern tour
