I found the HAMB after starting grad school three years ago. Just married, living in a one bedroom apartment on student loans, 4 hours from "home" and my hot rod buddies. The HAMB became my garage. One year prior to starting grad school I sold my '40 coupe and '61 Cadillac to buy her a ring and take care of some other debts. I thought any hope for building another hot rod was years away. This place showed me that it could be done on a budget though. I got serious about collecting the parts for my next project. Lots of scrounging and a few years later I am at this point. It is ALL because of the daily motivation I draw from this board and its members - many of whom are now my friends. Thank you Ryan. Jim Harrison
I was thinking the same thing about my next Rod being years away after a very expensive divorce...! And since I've met people on this board they've helped me see that this is what is all about..., "friends with a common interest helping each other out"! Relizing you can Get a car on the road and having fun without going bankrupt"! The cars are nothing more than the catalyst and the outcome of such fun ***ociations! Thanks Ryan, Kontinentals, Bleed, Cheaters, and the rest of the HAMB! Mark
Damn, Harrison, you're making HUGE progress! Hard to believe, when you were down here, you were thinking nothing was gonna get done for at least a few months...you'll have it done before you knoww it!!
Well said Harrison, yes it is very inspirational here. Only thing with me I am not working on my old cars, but doing more striping than ever hee in my garage. The Friday art post really rock for me, but everything on here is great.
I have to agree with you Jim.( thanks Ryan) It's the HAMBs fault that I met your sorry ***. RPU looking good, keep going and you'll be on the road soon.
