Mlight9. I don’t quite get the thread you are referring to, but Bob Estes ran a roadster from ‘54-‘56 that Phil Harms statistics shows as a Jud Phillips chassis. Mr. Watson was shown as a co-chief mech. with Jud Phillips on this car in ‘54 (#7). But in ‘55 (#12) the Greg Littleton book shows Jud Phillips as chief mech. And no mention of Mr. Watson. Same for ‘56 (#16). The Littleton book shows this chassis as a “Phillips-Watson” driven all three years by Don Freeland with pretty good finishes. You might PM Racer5c as I think he and Mr. Watson are still acquainted.
