Cool . . . how 'bout that, Jerry! Of course, you probably have the original mag. Photos by George Barris.

niceeee, my brother used to have one of those in his 53 merc. Just wondering, did Conway have any kind of adapter to adapt the mercury steering wheel to the skinny shoebox steering column.

i i know the splines are the same..i was referring to how the middle of the horn ring has a bigger diameter than the diameter of the steering column tube. 49-50 ford steering wheels are round in the back while 51's the steering column has a separate piece to meet up to the 51 steering wheel which isn't round on the back..I was wondering if conway used a 51 ford column...

  17. Jer, won't some of the bullets they sell for hucaps work ? Any clue to what Jr used originally .

I looked at all the hub cap type bullets Rob.

Can you trim the bottom edge of the 2 1/2" bullet till it becomes 2 1/4" in diameter?

Good question. In talking with Jr about this he simply said that it was a Cal-Custom cast bullet. The type that you use in grilles. I would be concerned that I would destroy the mount for it by cutting it down.

I think we have finally got the stance right with the 5" blocks. The skirts really came around with that slice and, they tuck in real nice to the body (Eric) like they should.
