Came out great. Can´t fault your attention to detail on this build.

Well Claymore thats a very interesting question. Why? Because I have been experiancing this tremendous relief and void because the pressure is off. I get up in the morning and what do I do today? This is very different and strange compared to the drive to get this done. I discovered in the midst of this that there was another build being worked on. You can imagine what that info did to the "giddy up". But thats old news and another story.

I have the old shop el camino (see my personal page) that needs to be finished, so thats going to be my focus after a brief "time out". Iv'e learned a long time ago that the selection of the project to build is critical. That takes time and focus.

Oh! To answer your last question. This car is for sale and I'm sure that that will be another "process" to experiance. Especially in this economy. So the idea that i'll hang onto this for a while will be another part of this "process".

    Jerry,
I hadn't talked to you in a week or so. Did the car make it to GNRS?

Cinderella's carriage just in time for the ball. I'm going to try and load my wife's video of positioning it on the loading ramp with authentic 1957 sounds.

Get a good look at Freds face.

I love it, can't wait to see it. It really shows just how outstanding this car must have looked on the streets in 1957. Great job! Is Junior planning to be at the GNRS to see it?

This was Jrs only car. He drove it every day. This was in the era of the driver custom.

My intent is to show this car the way it was shown back in the day. It will have a small show card that replicates the original one shown in this pic from Jrs stash. I also have one made up with pics that Jr sent me and a brief story about the build.

Show prep consisted of a thorough cleaning, brush touch the paint chips, new gold blown in the wheel wells and a new coat of wax.

Believe it or not I feel bad about this car being so nice compared to what the real car was after some years of use.

Ill be flying out tomorrow in the am for the show. Ill get pics of the cars and the experience for ya. Neither of us has ever been involved in any thing like this before.

This doesn't show how/where the car is positioned. I'll do that with the next post.

Just got in late last night. Sorry I couldn't post anymore than the one pic. I have to sort through what we've got and post later on today. We ran with the big dogs last week end!

You and the boys must be higher than a kite right now, Jerry. Your masterpiece has been prominent in all the photo threads so far. Here's a favorite from Tom davison. Congratulations on an absolute home run.

    Jer,

I had no idea you guys were building this car. My Dad and I have wondered for years why no one had done it? Then I saw a pic of the car last thursday night during GNRS setup... I called my Dad right away and sent him the pic. He flipped out! Seeing the car in person on saturday really messed me up man. Jr's Shoebox has been one of my favorite cars since I was a kid, and your car turned out KILLER. Congrats and kudos to you good sir.

Just one question... What did Jr. say when he saw it?!
