    How cool it must have been to be able to get that close to the track with the cars running, and dangerous too. The drivers had no more safety equipment than it takes to get on an amu*****t park kart track today. I sure would like to get on that curvy two lane with no more traffic than that and just let the hot rod roll. But the only problem with going quick is you just catch up with the slow people.

    I was thinking that was simpler times , but then I thought that was only two and half to three years after WWII , so maybe it was not that simple , people were just happy the war was over . Great show , thanks
