a little Ardun help, please.

  1. so im building me an ardun in 1/8 scale and have some questions. i did a search and didnt get the info i want, so figured id ask here.
    maybe it would be good to have an Ardun thread as i couldnt find much:D
    id like to see pics, especially with SCoT blowers.
    i also need to know what to do with exhaust outlets in flathead block. do i just block em off?
    where are the radiator hoses outlet on the Ardun?
    id like to see pully set ups and front and rear views of the SCoT blower.
    heres a pic of my resin engine and the 32 roadster im putting it in.

    thanks in advance. this build is based on a forties era hot rod using Robert Genat and Don Coxs book, the birth of hot rodding.
    i of course have added my own touches.

  4. Maybe these will help, here a couple of detail shots I took of John Mumford's S.C.O.T. blowin' Ardun powered '34 3-window in Pleasanton last August.

  5. wow, thanks guys. thats most of the info right there i needed.
    the other is the backing plate on the SCoT blower. im not sure which way up they go and i need to see the older Ardun for the water outlets. thanks for the help.

  6. heres a pic of where its at now. i wasnt sure if i should paint the heads or leave em silver, but decided the block colour on them would make the block look bigger.

    That looks good so far, you're off to a great start. Here's some pics I took of Dave Simard's Ardun, ex Tom Senter engine. I hope you can find a right angle drive Vertex for yours! :D

  8. wow, thanks 327-365hp. ive taken a couple of images from google, but thats the best pic so far.
    i do have a magneto, but its a little diffrent to the vertex. ill use it and make up a drive for it.
    are the two chrome bell looking things on the front of the heads water outlets? i can see the bottom ones.

    Wow! Was the cover pic of that rj taken at dave's shop?

    I remember the o'neal car in street rodder in bare metal
