I've been in my garage for some time. Never choped anything before. But I think it's looking ok so far? 3" in the front 2" in the rear, and we just laid back the windsheild.
Cracked windshield is a great reason to chop the top! Saw your truck at the mobtown greaseball. The chop looks great. Shame on me, im (currently) paying for my chop, next one Im gonna try myself.
Cool man... I'm in the process of chopping my 54 chevy 4 door... i'm taking my time causes it's my first time....
"A little chop goes a long way!" Truer words were never spoken especially when you are over 6' tall. Folks used to be smaller than we are today and things like early vehicles reflect that. You gotta want the look because it's sure not a comfort thing! BTW nice look and nice work!
Looks good man - how did the welding go around to the back window? what kind of welder did you use? Those curved tops look pretty hard to figure out? Please share your trip through the cuts!!
The metal is a little thin. No big deal. Just a tank of gas 25/75 mix some 0/25 wire a lot of feed, and my trusty hobart 135 handeler. My tip in the curves, some Jack & coke and a dolly/hamer!
Casey...I did the flames with the help of Tank and the boys. We did it at a show with spraybombs and a sponge Clark
Based on my unfortunate experience with a HORRIBLE ( ) chop on a 54 Chevy pick up...I can say that your chop looks GREAT!
