Finally I replaced the axle with New bearings and seals.. I took it on a test drive and noticed the wheel noise and leaking is gone but I hear a small hum near the trany (dynaflow) auto. I got under it and one of the ****** mounts with the 6 bolts is shot to hell ....guys do you think this could be the culprit. ..Thanks Sgt John.13bravo CAV.

Replacing it won't hurt. I have had bad transmission mounts cause noise, but not hum. I believe the front pump of the Dynaflow made the hum.

Can you tell me is the transmission going bad..It's not leaking and reverse is great and no creeping when you put it in neutral and it goes in gear easy and the fluid is red with no burnt smell

The trans mount with the 6 bolts is called a thrust pad - and very good to change out regardless. Your trans will be very happy.

I would swap out the diff oil, and be sure you are not getting trans fluid seeping down to the diff through the torque tube - a very destructive problem.

To fix this you have to replace the seal at the forward end of the torque tube.
