    Y'all--

I need to move a non-running '52 Henry J PLUS an antique bellows organ and Victrola (I know I'm in good company here with other collector junkies) across the country.

Problem is, I can't find a mover who will do both for anything less than the sum value of the crap I need to move!

Any thoughts on movers? Anyone out there with a truck and trailer and a few days to kill? Any retired folks who like to drive? I'll pay, I'd just rather put cash in the hands of someone here than a large moving company that's charging WAY too much and telling me that they're the only game in town. And I'd like to find someone who can bring it all at once instead of being forced to use one mover for the car and another for the antiques.

Thanks and sorry for the O/T: I know the HAMB is good for helping out when members are in a pinch...

There's the rub, I haul single car/open and as much as I'd like to do it, I just can't compete with the big guys and still pay my bills when you're talking this kind of distance. I'm good up to about 1600 miles and then it gets tough on both of us.

    Best of Luck Dan.

    No problem, Ben--I certainly understand!

I need a move from York County, PA to San Francisco, CA. What is that--'bout 3K miles and change? Whacha think, Roundvalley? You up for a drive? I'll make it worth your while...

No Austin for me, Jeepers--until everything west of you falls off and S. Congress becomes beachfront property, of course. Then I'm in like Our Man Flynn.
