A little pic of the touring................

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Tman, Jan 6, 2004.

  1. As promised to several of you, here is a pic of the Touring. Bobbed rear is about 80% done, you can see I need to do the bead on the cornoer pieces yet. T rear spring, finned aluminum shocks. I will try to have a pic of the new floors in the next couple days.

  5. Mr Steven Hawking!!! I KNEW you would catch that! The shocks are Showa? Piggyback resevoir units off a late 70s early 80s Yamaha dirt bike. Cant see it, but the piggyback res' are finned!!!

  6. Tman,looks neato.I'm likin that T spring there.I remember those yammy finned shocks,stellar idea.Any other pics,maybe from the side......Shiny

  7. Shiny, more pics later. It is in the garage, door keeps cold out. Dont want to open door! If it is any consolation, there is a chopped blown Model A going together to the left of my T! [IMG] (another reason I cant get a good side profile)

  8. I guess I should clarify. The rear of the touring is bobbed 6+ inches in the rear. that beadline is something I rolled into the rear of the body. My boss made a set of dies a couple years back to roll the bead into a 33/34 door. This is the same bead. I hate the look of super low cars that are "squatting to dump"(ala Cali Broken low) from the rear view.So I copied the style a 32 or 33 sedan has in the rear with a short "bustle" This is why I bobbed it(and the rust [IMG])
