Wow Steve that looks good!! Is the top the peice C*** made last year? Are you planning on running a windsheild? Looks like you should have something on the front to divert the air up and away from the ****pit.

depending on what kind of "open drive" rear end you have in mind, the qc can actually be more efficient. if by open drive you mean something like your typical 9" ford then no, you wouldn't be better off because the 9" ford is hypoid while the qc isn't. if by open drive you mean a standard early ford type rear end then i'd say they're about equal. there is very little to be lost through the qc gears because they're straight cut. the main reason for not going with an open early ford rear end is that you'll never get the gearing that you want or need to get any kind of real speed out of the car. imho i'd say the qc was the right choice.

Darn, I skipped North St. Paul Friday night where you had the belly tank on display. The guys I know that saw it were very impressed with the machine and with your accomplishments at Bonneville.

Congratulations on what you have done . I heard there's more and better to come.

I don't know why no one posted their speeds. I think these guys were running right on the previous record of 135 and change. Is that right?

The car ran 135.9 out the back door at 140 ......happy with that for a first time out ........... The record was held by the Old Crow for many years at 136 last year the record was pushed to 150.
Many changes in the works, based on what we learned this year hope to be on the record in 2014.
    Thanks Steve
