Today I finally got to the point of setting my Olds engine and trans into my model A frame. It is just a trial fit, but it is exciting to see some progress. I am waiting on some parts to finish the motor mounts. I have the boxing plates in, and I will add some reinforcement once the motor is in it,s final position.

Cool! There's somethin' about an early Olds Rocket engine in a hot rod.

Thanks to all. I really enjoyed the '54 Ranch wagon build photo,s. I am also building a 1955 Country Squire for a customer. I got a lot of inspiration from this build series.
Also the build series of Chris Casny with his Model A. After looking at the work he has done I had to "up my game". His workmanship is a beautiful thing.
I really love this forum and all the helpful people who hang out here.

A little more progress.....setting on its own wheels and suspension. Somehow it came out pretty close to the stance I was shooting for.

Very nice! What are your plans for the steering column?

I am considering using cowl steering. I saw what Chris Casny did on his model A and thought it looked pretty nice. I will build my own headers, so I am not worried too much about clearance.
