A couple of weeks ago we removed the package tray, part of the interior, the panel between the interior between the interior and the trunk and of course the seat, at 6'4" the seat had to be moved before I could get in.

All the interior is back in place, less the package shelf, and am able to get in and out with ease and comfortable when behind the wheel.

The next item on the list is getting the car to run properly,we fought with the existing carburetor for a while but came to the conclusion it's just absolutely junk so we tried a old 97 that had been sitting on the shelf for the last few years but the replacement was just marginally better and only got it running well enough to back the car out of the garage.

I'll get with my friend Earl next week when he opens his shop and let him do his magic with the carburetor, hopefully I will be able to drive it down the road soon..HRP

Good on ya for beating on some tin this weekend! Also getting the banger running.
You guys are supposed to send some 70 degree weather up the coast in a couple of days, going to do the same here.

Try a stromberg 81, the 94 might be too much carb; and nothing wrong with it.

  11. You need to loose a little weight. LOL
I am glad that I am only 5'10" (or 8 ) makes it a little easier to fit in most things. Problem is that I get all my height from the waist up.

You'll just get it sorted out and then you'll want that belly button motor in it, oh wait you're not running a flathead sorry for the remark.

    Lookin' good my friend.

Wouldn't hurt to loose a few pounds but that ain't gonna help with the Neanderthal genes,at 6'4" I often stand head and shoulders above my peers.

A recent photo of my pal 3W JOHN and me at the November Early Ford V8 Club meeting,I look like a giant and he looks like Papa Smurf! :D HRP

I think the 32's are more roomy than the Model A's but even at 6' myself I find things pretty tight and most of my package tray is gonzo. I have dropped the seat height as well by removal of stuffing and still could use an inch or more headroom.

You actually look to have a fair bit of space in there and the uncut top is a big part of it.

Glad that minor alteration solved your dilemma.

Man you do have plenty of space in there with the tray out. Have to reposition the seats?
    Are the seat comfortable?

Rick,it's amazing how much more room there is and yes the seat is extremely comfortable, plus with the seat moved back it easier to get my size 12's in between the seat and the door. HRP

Even though we got the coupe running and I drove it down the road I decided to rebuild the carburetor so we ordered a rebuild kit.

Looks like UPS is not in as big a hurry as I am. HRP
