I needed 5/16-18 as well. Run the bushing into the knob, and run a 5/16-18 bottoming tap into the insert. It's br***, it taps like ****er. the co**** thread will all but clean out the 24 pitch thread. Easy!

 

Hey guys - Just a heads up. The adapters are standard 16mm shift knob adapters. They are available from a lot of different sources in different sizes. Places like So-Cal Speed Shop, Speed Dawg, etc, Just Google it. For example, all kind of things come up if I search for "Shift knob adapter 5/16-18" (without the quotes).
