Heres where we are, wrapped up all the wiring today and she is ready to fire and start working the bugs out. We still need to paint the dash and install the shoebox gauge cluster and also the front windsheild frame. we had a little help from fed ex breaking the brand new glass , but we will get it fixed monday. well enjoy the pics and i will update this when we get this beast roaring!

Hey thanks Piero hopefully we see you guys in Long Beach. We hope to leave for Cali Thurs to get this thing to Johnny, hopefully the funds pull through. We are going to fire it , and bleed the brakes tommorow and take her for a quick spin. I will post some pics as soon as she hits the sun!

Well today was a strange day to say the least! We were all set to fire the truck up and take a drive and about 10:30 in to the shop walks our old upholestry man vernon mckean! We had been talking with him about the truck off and on and he had watched the truck come together these last 2 years and he told me he came down because he wanted to talk to me about doing the truck! I was totally takin back since i had already made arrangements to take the truck to johnny at mastersons. It was a no brainer for us to let him have the truck , so we loaded it up and dropped it off at his shop at 4:00. The goal is still the longbeach motorama so the 85 year old is gonna have to move pretty fast, but if any of you guys know vernon he is'nt going to miss the deadline once he committs. So for the next 30 days we will be working with the interior god putting one sick button tuck interior together for you guys in cali. Pics to follow , we will keep ya posted!

Here i am discussing the interior at vernons sewing table. The car in the corner of the picture is a '34 sedan 4 door vernon is doing for us also. I will post a pic or two of that. I will post some interior shots of the truck as we go along so you can see a legend at work.

Here are some shots we took today, friday. We dropped the truck to him monday afternoon so he built what you see here in 4 days, not too bad. He said he should start covering next week, but he did sew us up a nice little "sample" but we decided to use chrome buttons and make them a little larger and the material will be pearl white. This old man kicks ass!!! Everytime i leave his shop i feel like the luckiest guy on the planet! I will post more updates soon.

Well, we went to Vernons today and installed the windsheild frame and brought him the dash to install once he gets the underside of the dash done. He has taken all the cardboard templets and made aluminium pieces to cover. The headliner is the plywood piece with the two inserts, his son in law david is giving him a hand with this truck because of the timeline. David is pictured working on the bed cover drilling holes for the buttons. We are still keeping our fingers crossed for the show in Long Beach , but we will see what transpires over the next two weeks. We will keep ya posted!!

That is one knock-out Kustom Rod, you didn't say if the other shop was pissed at you for dropping them at the last minute.

No Johnny was not pissed at all , he totally understood. When you have a legend and freind like Vernon look at the truck and tell you he would like to do the interior its a no brainer, we intend to use Johnny in the future he does awesome work, we just could not pass this opportunity Vernon is 84 and these are some of the last cars he will ever turn out, we are honored.
