no I aint slackin' just takin' a five minute break, squirted some more black on the motor, cleaned up the exposed frame, shot it with low gloss and set the motor back in 'er. ignore the*****py valve covers, they're only there to keep***** out of the innerds..
that car is looking freakin sweet. i like seeing black on a motor, you dont see it often, or at least i dont see it often. now get back to work trey
ah the foot in mouth post! hahaha! hopin' to get it race ready in time, I'm working on it every day with one eye on the calendar I will be there, I can say that for sure. Paul
Ok 60's is there any way i can come see this thing for myself... that car is one of my fav on the HAMB Thanks Garth
Car and motor look awesome. What's the story with your front end suspension? Did you take it out of another car? Fab it up custom? Got any closer pics of just the front end? I ask because your shock mounts look really tall, and I'm curious if you engineered it that way(and why), or if you pulled it from another car already that way... Doesn't look bad or wrong, I'm just trying to learn a little about chassis engineering... So I ask.
Dibs on a ride sometime this summer! Its too bad**** for words, and a thing of beauty all at the same time... AND ITS CHEVY POWERED.
Garth, it will be at Pacific Raceways on July 16th, stop by and say hello. tragic59, the front suspension is an old Speedway setup with a Vega box and Chevy spindles, the shock mounts are 1950+/- Dodge truck and don't know what the shocks themselves come out of. Justin, any time... well prolly not today Paul
Hey 60's, what did you end up having to fix in the block. I remember you having a problem, but lost touch. Satin
Satin, Racefab put it together, the mains and cylinders were honed, crank polished and new rings and bearings installed along with new gaskets and an oil pump. he also tore the heads down for inspection.. pretty lucky really. I also swapped out the truck pan for one with screen and scraper that I had left over from a previous motor.. Paul
