after my transmission died on the way to the roundup ive sorta had to take a step back on the 53. i got the ****** rebuilt but it still ran like ****, very jerky and sluggish. i spoke with edelbrock and they said i needed a 1405 not a 1406 because i have the rpm airgap intake. so i get one and install a manual choke cable and it runs like a dream now. then a wheel cylinder exploded, no reason why, it was new. got that fixed and now the tranmission will not shift. it stays in third. its a c4 with a lokar shifter and i have first and third on the stick and no second gear. anyway its going back to the ****** shop on monday so we shall see.

Gotta love these grouchy old Fords, right? Hopefully you get things all sorted out soon and can just enjoy the drive for a while.

I have nicknamed my Victoria "Always Something"...'cause, as you've discovered, it's always something!

They should all be nicknamed "The Money Pit", cause as we all know, thats all they really are in the end...

Or...remember the old saying for GTO? What are 3 things you just can't keep with this car? Gas, tires and oil. Maybe we should just call our "Cash".

Anyway you look at it , you will stick a lot of money into the car to get it built like new ! If you buy a new car it's already been done by someone else . Anyway you look at it you will pay a bunch of money to get it in like new condition ! The big difference is you will have a very nice car in the end that will be worth more money than a new car you buy today !
Just something to think about .
