been doing a little work on my `36 and haven't put the fenders and hood back on. i've never been a fan of fender less fat fendered cars , but i kinda like it this way
An old 'East Coast' style was to run fenderless in the front, and fenders in the back. There was a '35 (?) 3 window in Washington built this way a few years ago - Blue/red color. Anyone remember it? Not my thing, but some like it. From a design point of view, the rear wheel well openings are just too big to even think about running without fenders, IMHO.
A good part of the body "flow" on fat-fendered cars is the swoop of the fenders, IMO. '36's should definitely have fenders..........
There are few cars after 1934 that can stand losing the fenders without looking like a ragamuffin at a Charity Ball. Fords, 35 and 36, are not candidates for the no-fender treatment, they are styling winners from nose to tail as they are! Appreciate what a fine piece you have with all its clothes on, sometimes the mystery is what makes them so damn ***y.
Gotta agree. Fenders. My 39 has been sitting for 4 years without fenders and I can't wait to get them on.
A '36 3~window With No Fenders ? You Must Be Kidding ... Right ? Would This Be Called A "Rudy~car" ? Cheeese & Rice Fellers, This Fenderless Post 1934 **** Is Getting Out Of Hand !!!
