Great to see this thread up & racing, excited for you, such a cool thing! Will follow along with interest
Jimmy’s 34 four door. Caddy powered tuck and roll inner fender wells, roof, firewall wings etc etc it’s pretty neat
Can kinda see it more here lots of panel stripes as well. I’ll message you any further pic if I find some on my phone so we don’t de rail the thread
Cant wait to get them it should really start to fill the back of the car out and knock the last bit of "dirt track car" out of it.
Im continually blown away by the group of guys here on the HAMB. @Mo rust donated the pedal parts to me to help get to the Roc! and @41 GMC K-18 sent me some awesome Flathead art of one of my engines!! and a few T shirts to top it off! Thank you guys sincerely. LONG LIVE THE HAMB!
Are you just living in Jimmy's shop or are you making the 10 hour drive daily?! Either way keep GOING!!
It’s not ten hours lol. He’s just gone down two weekends and worked a million hours. I don’t think I’d believe the amount of work done in the amount of time if I hadn’t seen it first hand
Haha jus makin the drive it’s so much easier having his early ford parts stash! Need an odd bolt or nut jus go out back need a bearing jus go out back lol
I’ll keep it updated may try to get some more work done this weekend, have a new project swinging by today that’s gonna take up some of my day I’ll sneak a pic in on the thread it’s H.A.M.B. friendly
Killer project and nice save! You got the most important part of the body; the roof! Most everything else is available new or used. Fortunately the stock car builder didn't hog out all the window openings. You should post before/after photos in the 33 - 34 Ford Coupe body thread, which features some inspiring saves! https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/33-34-ford-coupe-bodies.220372/
@Hot Rods Ta Hell yeah close as they got was the gutted passenger door had been cut and the bottom of the window opening rolled/ pushed down. He pushed it back up when he got home but it’s the door they are replacing the bottom half with a different door so quick fix thankfully
WILL DO ! I always kinda figured the one I could swing would be....rough to say the least haha but we are chippin away at her an getting it straight again.
Prior to pouring concrete at Grandma's house in 1957, my first roadster was built on dirt & gravel. My older bud called it "Roadster on the Rocks"...
