I stopped by Royalshifters place this afternoon to see the paint job firsthand and I gotta say.....................it is incredible. All the people involved in this project for the rest of their lives can say they had a part in something special. Mark and Dave you should be proud of the work you are putting into that car, every bit of your effort shines through. I feel lucky to be able to say that I saw the car in person during the build and cant wait to see it finished.

You can't wait to see it finished? Hell, you couldn't wait 20 minutes for me to get back from a parts run! How's that new underwear treatin' ya, Mike?
Seriously, thanks for the window decals, you did your part to help get this project done and looking correct for the CHRR.

One of the key elements that Dave found at Fred's ranch are these copper tubings that were on the original car and now will be back on after a long sleep.

I was sweating rubber nickels before I tried these tubes because I mounted the engine and degreed it by photographs....low and behold they mounted right up where they should be.

I can't wait to see the car at the CHHR. I remember seeing it run out at Raisin City.

  22. Here is whats left of the corvette today. Look close and you'll see the rear "spoiler". A guy named Eric Reyes owns it and converted it to a Super Gas car 15-20 years ago. eric003.jpg

I drilled and cut some 3/8 stock to make the screw mounts for the stacks......we are just tightening the loose ends until Tex comes back from Steven Kents race car shop, he is the header fabricator.

This is all fantastic, but that RAIL there... There's a beautiful '60s FRONT ENGINE DRAGSTER IN YOUR GARAGE. Has anyone noticed, or is it just me?

I noticed the dragster. Hopefully that is next on the completion list. Hey Skip, if you dont have time to finish the dragster sent it my way, I will be happy to finish it. Of course once it is finished there will probably be an extended period of "shakedown" runs required.
