Technical A more attractive overflow bottle?

make sure it's an old, steel can. 16 oz to meet NHRA rules.

Mason jar red glass, blue and green tinted glass also available to match your car color. Need to fab a bracket, maybe use rubber sheeting glued on or flat adhesive backed weatherstripping to pad it.

Form a u with one long leg, the long leg gets mounting bolts, form a circle around a pipe, put outward flanges on the circle, drill holes for a bolt to pass thru, weld the bolt head to the circle and nut and washer it to tighten down. Weld or rivet the circle to the u bracket.

 

model t cap and some copper. I haven't used it yet but should work. Making a matching manifold oil fill cap.

 

I did a overflow bottle for the wife's coupe ! Made the bracket and lined it with rubber. So far put over 3000 miles on it on the run to St Paul ,Minn for the car show BTTF and no problems !

 

This is what the bottle is in and what we drove ! She drove it Saturday night from one part of the garage to the other side with lift and I checked it out . She got in it Sunday morning 0 miles on it and took off to St.Paul to the show on Father's day BTTF . Only problem we had was the dr window came out of the track and put a crack in it !
