And there we go, right up to date! As of now there is no new progress, but there will be very soon, as I get my 4 day weekend right away and get this monster back in the shop!

if nothing else, it is that!

pretty neat, I gotta say. I've never been one for over-the-top design, but this is pretty cool.

Good work! If you aren't already a member, I'll send you an invite to the Canadian HAMB members user group :)

Gonna close in the engine bay and make a trunk?:D

Also (and not to pick your truck apart or anything) have you thought about moving the battery box? It kinda stands out where it is, maybe if you mounted it on the bed wall behind the cab, and down lower, it would look a little cleaner? Again, not trying to insult just a suggestion :)

You seem sick in the head, but in a good way. I like it. Not sure why, but who cares. Looks like good work and a fun project.

lookin at the very first pics i did not think it would end up as clean as it did. good work on something different.

will it pull the front tires off the ground? how does it handle doin donuts? can you pull the front tires off the ground and do donuts at the same time?

seriously, sweet ride and nice work.

    Neat setup.
In college I found a guy once who had a pair of 500 cads in a 68 chev pickup. both with transaxles and steering on them (rear was hydraulic via switches) made a neat 4wd pickup but totally impractical.

Thanks guys! To answer a few questions:
-I have no idea what my underhood plans are yet. Due to steering, braking and cooling, there isn't a great deal of room up there, plus it gets warm, but I'd still like to be able to carry a couple duffle bags or something.
-The battery box was a short lived thing. It looked out of place, it vibrated, and NHRA rules required me to re-locate it back to it's factory location hidden under the hood.
-Yes, I am in fact sick in the head, I knew that when I started and I keep reinforcing the fact :D
-It will remain open-engined. I just like the shock value too much to cover it up. Plus the dual-quad sticks well over the bed rails...
-As of now, it neither spins, nor pulls the front tires. It cuts a 2.0 60' on 235/75/15 street tires @ 40lbs. It has a terrible low stall in it, so I think I higher stall speed may be in order.
-It will not do donuts, It merely pushes the front tires. A brake torque is also quite the art to perfect.

    Wow. Cool.

That thing seriously needs a floorpan up front with a little jump seat and a clear hood scoop.

  29. I like it! Awesome work!

Maybe put in a front mounted rumble seat? Extra passengers could sit on the floor of the new trunk with their heads popping out through holes in the hood. Now that would be weird...
