Is the hood a new Rootlieb, latest version? How do you think it compares to original?

I dig it too (alot), perfection all the way around.
Now about those hairpins, that last photo, I can look at that shot for..........ever.
Never seen a sleeker pair of hairpins, after seeing where you mounted them I wish I had done the same on my roadster.
The stance and the Firestone to rear wheel opening radius is spot on.

Yes. It's theirs. I have used several real 25 louver hoods, and the main difference is the weight. A real hood is a lot heavier.

That's a Hot Rod! That's quite a stance and W/T combo. I may have missed it, did you pick a color?

I have, but I have chosen not to tell what it will be until it's painted. It will fit the car though.

There is a car upper midwest set-up a lot like yours in terms of stance, Dirt track wheel tire combo, chop, taillights, BBC, QC. It was built by Randy Hallman Specialty Cars in WI. I'm not sure who the owner is, and i've been searching for a pic. It's black and super nice., I could see yours in the deep red - red - orange family.

Yes. I made a jig to build them the way I want them. They are all stainless. I also made the stainless ladder bars. Just for grins, please try the headlights about two inches forward and an inch inward. Then post a pic for me. :)

Some of us look at everything, Danny...(or try to...).looks a little bit like the deck lid may need a rework in the lower corner. I would imagine it`s UPAC stuff, yes? I moved the tank forward on the`29 Sedan on Deuce rails I built a few years back. Stepped it forward the distance between the spreader bar holes, just used the forward hole as the rear hole, and modified the front of the tank slightly. What happened to the tank at the back there?

  27. Just read all 13 pages.......absolute pure art of a real hot rod with amazing detail and workmanship! I would love to see you light those big meats up someday! Now I'll sadly go back to hacking on my stuff.......

yes, it's a repo deck lid from UPAC, along with the lower panel. other than the lower left corner that was slightly dented in shipping, it fits really nice. every gap on this car will get worked until i'm satisfied, that is why i said i was "fitting the deck lid", and not "it's all done, and ready for painting".

at one time someone put a hole in the tank, then brazed it up. that part will get cut out and replaced with new metal before i weld up the notch for the quick change.
